A Summer of Salads…and a new baby boy!

I’m not sure how many readers I actually have, but if you’ve stopped by lately and have been disappointed by my absence, I truly do apologize. The weather has been so beautiful, so my kitchen experiments have been few and far between. I’ve been content with throwing together random monster salads and calling it a day. Taming the Anywhere but Here Girl
If you’ve read my entire story or poked around at other posts, you’ll know I moved home about a year ago. Life at home is fabulous– great company, unconditional love, and in my case, thanks to Mom and Dad, incredible savings. - Produce that has been locally grown has traveled a shorter distance to reach your plate, so less transportation pollution has taken place.
- The time between harvest and consumption is shorter, so local produce is fresher and hasn’t lost as many nutrients as food from across the country or globe.
- It allows you to support local growers, keeping business within your community. (more…)
